Launch in Toronto
November 8, 2005
This was one of the largest Canadian launch
events ever with 14,000 registered attendees for
10 city launch tour. Toronto kicked off the
launch tour with over 2,800 attendees and 26
partner pavilions. After the welcoming remarks
by Microsoft Canada President David Hemler and a
keynote by Craig Symonds, General Manager for
Visual Studio, the Microsoft Evangelist team
delivered six intense break-out sessions
covering the latest and greatest features in SQL
Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and Biztalk
Server 2006. It was a busy day for all partner
booths as well as “ask the expert” cabana area
which was packed most of the day. In
addition to Microsoft evangelists, Regional
Directors, MVPs, and the user group leaders were
on hand at this event to answer many developer
questions.
